The week started well with plenty of fish being caught near the surface. Indeed some anglers reported excellent sport on dry flies early in the day.
Rainbow corner through the Hensborough Dam produced some of the best fishing to drifting boats using floating lines and a mixture of nymphs and buzzers. Whilst other anglers did well on the boils and in deeper water using DI 5’s and DI 7’s with blobs and damsels.
The warm weather and bright sunshine has coloured the water slightly and pushed the fish deeper from mid week . Consequently the best of the fishing has been from the boat, with bank anglers reporting better sport throughout the evenings.
